Advice from the Crown of Africa experience: "Heath and Moorland -- I suggest a polypro long underwear top and bottom beneath shorts and a T-shirt. During my trek a fleece vest or jacket was kept at ready for pauses in the climb. Gaiters were essential through the wet, knee high grasses at this elevation (though our assistant guide waled ahead of us with a branch sweeping dew off the grass)."
