Most guys who buy the Arc'teryx Men's Covert Crew Neck find that they can wear it for cold weather comfort in the backcountry and rely on its classic styling for casual wear too. Although it's not windproof, the Covert Crew is quite warm, and makes for a great insulating layer when combined with a waterproof, breathable hardshell. The flat exterior face looks like wool, while the interior is soft and fuzzy. A laminated sleeve pocket provides storage not usually found on those department store sweaters.
